Rail Loading

Considerable dust clouds are created when loading rail wagons due to the speed of the loading and tonnage involved.

A significant degree of airborne dust can be reduced by the introduction of dry fog dust suppression sprays to encapsulate the dust particles. Strategic positioning of dust suppression nozzles will produce nominal 10 micron droplets which will agglomerate with the airborne dust particles and suppress to ground level.

To ensure effective dust control the process will benefit from coverage and housing to protect the process from the elements (mainly wind). A primary advantage of the dry fog nozzles is the low water volumes – 20 litres per hour @ 1 bar (15psi pressure), this ensures that moisture addition to the material is minimal.
